A DAY AT CROSSROADS
At Crossroads Montessori, no two days look exactly the same — but our school follows a steady rhythm that helps students feel grounded, focused, and ready to learn.
Instead of moving from bell to bell, our students flow naturally through periods of focused work, movement, collaboration, and reflection. There’s time to explore individual interests, meet with teachers, share meals with peers, and get your hands dirty in the garden or on a project.
Our Daily Rhythm (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
8:30–9:00 AM | Arrival & Settle In
Greet friends, unpack, and check the board for announcements or quotes of the day.
9:00–9:15 AM | Whole-School Gathering
We begin each day together as a community — with announcements, birthdays, quotes, and quiet reflection.
9:15–9:30 AM | Group Morning Meetings
Each group meets for mini-lessons, check-ins, or a preview of the day ahead.
9:30–10:15 AM | Morning Work Period
Independent or small-group learning, creative projects, or meetings with a teacher.
10:15–10:30 AM | Morning Break
Time to reset — grab a snack or chat with friends.
10:30–11:30 AM | Continued Work Time
Focus deepens: research, writing, hands-on learning, science experiments, and more.
11:30–12:30 PM | Lunch & Free Time
We eat together and then unwind with books, art, conversation, or rest.
12:30–2:15 PM | Afternoon Work Period
This time often includes electives, arts, practical life, Erdkinder, or field studies.
2:15–2:50 PM | Wrap-Up & Reflection
Classrooms pause for journaling, restorative check-ins, and clean-up. We close out unfinished work and take care of our shared spaces.
2:50–3:00 PM | Whole-School Closing Circle
Just like we begin the day together, we end it together — with appreciations, announcements, or a quiet moment to reflect before heading home.
